Grace Lazenby
Qualifications: Has a degree in Exercise Physiology. Certified in Pilates by the Physical Mind Institute in Santa Fe.
Personal History: As a former dancer when I was younger, I knew I wanted to create a life around movement. I wanted to teach people how to move and feel good in their bodies. I discovered group exercise at the very young age of 17. I have seen the trends come and go and I've taught everything - high-impact, step, spinning, kickboxing, and treadmill classes. There was great joy in creating "All the Right Moves." I found yoga to fill in the gap that was missing in my workouts.
Workout Philosophy: The future world of fitness holds a merging of philosophies and disciplines. It is the combination of movements and disciplines that will appeal to everyone and everybody. It's not how high you lift your leg; it's how you feel when you lift it - graceful, strong, and centered.
Sucess Story: Evelyn Tappey met me about a year ago. She was 52-years-old and had never exercised before. She wanted to reduce her high blood pressure and take better care of her health. In addition, she was getting married (at 52-years-old, you still want to look good on your wedding day). She participated in my classes for six months, 2 to 3 times per week. By the end, she had dropped 2-3 dress sizes and had her blood pressure completely under control. She also looked great on her wedding day (I was there to see it!).
