Full Backcover Description
Tabata Trek combines intensity intervals of cardio and strength for a workout that will challenge every cell in your body. Tabata is a training protocol that requires all out effort and then complete rest. The intensity bouts only last 20 seconds but these 20 seconds will be the hardest effort you can muster. One Tabata session lasts for 4 minutes 20 work/10 rest = 8 cycles. You will be on the bike for the cardio intervals and off the bike for strength intervals. This is a true total body workout like no other. You are sure to get stronger and fitter than you have ever been with this one. There are also mix and match options to customize your workout.

Certified instructor description:
A very challenging workout that intermixes on and off-bike exercises. It's an intense fat-burner that's sure to build stamina and strength. The entire program features "Tabata Training" — a simple, but powerful, fitness technique. You'll work super-hard for 20 seconds, then "rest" for the next 10 seconds. You'll repeat that sequence for eight cycles, take a longer rest, and then restart the Tabata series again. The workout includes both on and off-bike moves. The cycling segments are familiar "spinning style" cardio classics. The off-bike sections are high-intensity, often higher-impact, exercises like jump squats, burpees and "road runners" (sometimes even including a few toning moves like push-ups). DVD has premixes that let you play only the bicycle or only the non-bike segments. ©2011.
